Motorola Cps Programming Software Questions
Written by Jeremy Byler, CETsr How to Remotely Add or Update a DTR Radio Contact to your Fleetdigital radios can be programmed with a unique ID so other users can identify the person transmitting. Most of our customers request that we program their radios with employee names or job functions. This is helpful during emergencies, call alerts, and one-to-one communications. When an additional radio is purchased, replaced, or updated the digital ID must be programmed in all of the existing radios. This is easily accomplished using the DTR650’s over-the-air programming feature. All DTR Radios Must Be Turned “ON” and In RangeAfter the new radio is programmed using Motorola’s DTR CPS software and programming cable, begin by inserting the battery and connecting the antenna. All radios must be powered ON and within range of the new DTR for programming to be successful. Use Cloning Mode to Add Contacts WirelesslyTo place the new radio in cloning mode a series of button presses is required.
Refer to the picture for button locations and follow the steps below:. Hold down the “Home” button and press the PTT (push-to-talk) button three times. Press the “Left Option” button. Press the “Up Arrow” button.
Press the “Right Option” button. Hold down the “Home” button and press the PTT button three times.
When done correctly screen will display cloning modeFrom Cloning Menu Choose “Send Contact”When the DTR is in cloning mode, scroll to the “Send Contact” and choose the contact you want to send to the other radios per steps 1-3 below. Select the Contact You Want to Send to the Other DTR RadiosSteps 4-7 shows how to scroll through the list of radio contacts and change to the one you want to send to the other radios in your fleet.Press “Program” and “Go” to Finish the Cloning OperationSteps 8-11 include selecting the target radio or radio group and sending the info wirelessly using the “Program” and “Go” soft buttons. After operation is completed, a status message will appear. It will either display “Successful” or show a list of radios that failed. A radio will fail if it is powered off or is out of range. If only a single radio needs to be updated, choose the name of the radio that needs to be updated instead of the group. Once this operation is successfully completed and all your radios have been updated with the new radio’s contact information, your DTR system will communicate properly. For more information download the and the Generation 3 presentation from Motorola Solutions.
DMR CPS Programmer by DL5MCCWhat is CPS Programmer?DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) is a digital voice (DV) modulation scheme, which becomes more and more popular in amateur radio (ham radio). To be able to use the radio transceivers, all frequencies (channels) used must be entered as a „memory channel“ into the so called codeplug (CP). There is a huge number of local radio repeaters, as well as analogue FM repeaters and simplex frequencies, which all have to be entered into the CP by typing it manually into a programming software (CPS).
Only in Germany we currently have about 270 DMR repeater, which expand to about 600 channels (2 timeslots + many mixed mode FM) only for DMR. Backups are made immediately prior to each and every scan providing you with the choice of undoing any changes with just one click. This protects you against doable damaging your pc. Another advantage to these registry cleaners is that repaired registry errors will strengthen the speed and performance of one’s procedure drastically.Note: Yet again, for those who are not an state-of-the-art consumer it’s very encouraged that you simply refrain from editing your Windows Registry manually.

If you make even the smallest error within the Registry Editor it can result in you some serious issues that may even call for a brand new set up of Windows. Not all difficulties attributable to incorrect Registry Editor use are solvable. I know this is a common topic, but I have not been able to get anything to work in my weeks of searching, and I could really use some help. I am not a network or computer wizard.I have a new to me Windows 10 Laptop with CPS 12.1 installed.
CPS installed fine, drivers appeared to install fine, laptop recognizes my radios when I plug them in. I am using a known good OEM programming cable.I get Error #1687 every time I try to read any portables or mobiles. I can see my XPR7550 under my devices as 'MotoTRBO Radio', and I can see it under the device manager under Network Devices, and it says it is working properly. No matter what I do, the radios will not read. Understand I am not trying to be spoon-fed, but I have exhausted all of my knowledge and nothing from the extensive searching I have done seems to work. Does anyone know what happened to the MotoContacts Tool? The website no longer exists.The.ctb code plug file seems to me to be encrypted. So without having been given the special knowledge of the technique and or key, a de-cryption algorithm had have been used.

My impression is that the developers have been in the US, so I'm betting the first possibility.Sleeping on this, I don't think it is wise to figure out the magic key. Anything like this can be cracked, but Motorola has put a lot of $ into development with a large commercial interest. How to generate pdf file using php and mysql. Release of the secrets would compromise the database of all of those customers trusted in its safe keeping whether they thought about it or not.
Including the FCC (thinking about the wideband entitlement key for one). But, have you ever tried entering in the ID and Contact Name manually? Forgetting the tedious part for a moment, it is a ctrl character to make the record then tabbing. I only tried this a few minutes ago, but it seems to me that an almost simple minded VBasic script could be written to take what's in a flat file or Excel, and plug it into CPS. A sort of auto-manual entry. I swear I have done this on something long ago and vaguely remember that the almost part can eat up time. Not fast, but there was nothing fast about CPS anyway.
Maybe it is all of that encrypting/de-crypting?Two alternatives come to mind; 1) picketing outside 1301 Algonquin until we get our way, or 2) talk all DMR hams to sell their M products impacting their used equipment business.davek420Message 27 of 52, Jul 9, 2016message 27 680kb -Here the link: XXXXXXXXXXXXUninstall the previous version via Add/Remove programExtract contents to folder somewhere and run the exe.I also ran into this.I am running 13.0 ob CPS.what I did was read my radio which was programmed on 13.0, and saved it.then opened Motocontacts and the new codeplug. Did the needed imports and saved that update. THEN went back to CPS, opened the updated codeplug. THEN re-read the radio opening a new codeplug (with the updated one still opened) then DragDrop the updated contact list into the freshly read codeplug and then loaded in to the radio.Motocontacts Tool - XXXXXXXXXXI have the file but the program is no longer functional, as i believe DMR-MARC changed their url that supplied the contact database.
